Finding FabMo on eBay

When we had to shut FabMo events down because of the pandemic we came up with the idea of opening a FabMo online store. Chances are you have heard about our online store with curb-side pick-up because we keep talking about it (like here).

But that isn’t all we did: we also increased our presence on eBay - as of my writing this there are 225 (the picture says 215, no idea why) items listed in the FabMo eBay store. Many of them are what you would expect: fabrics, buttons, other crafting items but we also get donations of fashion jewelry plus the occasional wild and unexpected thing that is valuable but not a good fit for one of our events. Those things end up on eBay. Have a look.

JULY 2024 UPDATE: The instructions in the 2021 blog post below do not work on a phone. Best ways to find FabMo on eBay are go to STORE in the navigation bar and scroll down to eBay. There is a link on that page to take you to FabMo’s eBay listings. If you have the eBay app on your mobile device,

  1. Open the app.

  2. Tap the search bar.

  3. Type the ID and then select the option “Search for a user”

  4. Type fabmosunnyvale

Easier said than done

I turns out that having “a look at our eBay store” is easier said than done. Several people have told us that they were unable to find the store. Since I spent most of my working day online and pretty much have and advanced degree in googling for weird information, I didn’t quite believe that finding “FabMoSunnyvale” could be so difficult. Alas, it is. For some reason a simple search gets you nothing - or at least not what you want.

Fortunately, there are people with even more advanced degrees in finding stuff online and here is how they suggest you go about finding our eBay store:

  1. Go to ebay.com.

  2. In the top right corner of the screen, click on Advanced next to the Search button.

  3. On the Advanced Search page, in the Items box in the upper left area of the page, select By seller. A big box labeled Find Items appears to the right of the Items box.

  4. Scroll down until you find the Sellers section near the bottom of the box.

  5. Select Show only items from, then Specific sellers, then enter "fabmosunnyvale" in the field labeled Include.

  6. Click the Search button at the very bottom of the Find Items box.

Please feel free to share the link and information so more people all over the country can find FabMo’s fabulous eBay store.
