ARTISAN STATEMENT: Finding out about FabMo was a game changer for my small business. The bags I make are each one-of-a-kind, so I need quite a large and varied inventory of fabrics from which to choose and FabMo offers that. I use a lot of upholstery weight fabrics for durability, and leather when I can get it. At FabMo, I can find most of what I think I may use. I live in the Santa Cruz mountains, so being able to go to just one source for my materials saves me a lot of time, and helps to lower the cost of my products to my customers. It is always a bonus when I can also find notions, or interesting bits I can attach to my purse tassels, or bracelets.
Handcrafted items I will be selling:
Purses and totes. These are made with FabMo fabrics and leather, plus repurposed vintage items such as wool needlepoints, leather belts, English horse brass.
Leather tassels, charms, key rings and clips that can be attached to a purse, backpack, carry-on luggage etc. These items, along with my leather bracelets, were inspired by the small leather samples at FabMo, and also as a means to reduce my own leather waste from the larger pieces of FabMo leather I used for some of my purses; the largest pieces becoming tassels, and the smallest becoming earrings.

I take requests for custom work using needlepoints or vintage horse brass that I have, or can find, and also do custom finishing of needlepoints sent to me.
